Home based full time WEB DESIGNER job NEEDED....PLZ HELP..?
I m based in India. I want to do a home based web designer job (full time) NOTE - home based means working online. NOTE - Please don't confuse with freelance job...I don't want to be a freelancer...I want to work on a daily basis like an employee does but i want to do it online from my home. Where an i find such emmployers? Is there any site where such employers search for people like me?

Please be very cautious about trusting anyone from a message board or chatroom albeit there are some really helpful people here :) A lot of home-based 'jobs' are a scam especially if asking for money upfront. Perhaps if there's a bricks and mortar (as opposed to a p.o./post office box office "address") business and there is hard evidence (as opposed to an ad) that they are looking for an employee to work from home, that may be an option. However, there is a lot of risk with identity theft and divulging personal information so please make sure that any job signing on for is a well-established facility and perhaps check with the "better business bureau" (though that's not a guarantee either). Just to reiterate to be extremely cautious with this endeavor and only deal with a company that's been in business for awhile if embarking on this kind of work at all.

Try Craigslist

What are the realistice job opportunities for an adobe illustrator artist

What are the realistice job opportunities for an adobe illustrator artist?
Can anyone provide some insight to freelance artists doing logos, graphic designs, screen printing etc. Do you bill the clients by the project? By the hour? What is a fair market value rate, assuming the work is very good?

The AIGA (American Institute of Graphic artists) publishes an annual pricing guide. Look it over at your local bookstore over a cup of coffee, look locally at what people are willing to pay for comparable work, and the MOST IMPORTANTLY figure out what you need to live on - then come up with your price. And never cut your own throat to get a job. Walking away from lousy clients and lousy jobs is a survival skill you won't often find mentioned.

http://beta.bitwine.com/signup/SP sign up now it's free! I have been a freelancer for over 4 years now, and my biggest fear is actually being ripped off by people who does not pay for my services. I'm sure you have heard of the saying," If I had a quarter everytime someone ask me that question, I'd be rich?" So why not? That's what this company is about. You will get paid for answering questions on topics of your expertise. You will be paid almost immediately after the call ends via paypal. You had paid to go to school why not get paid for the knowledge you have gained? http://beta.bitwine.com/signup/SP

How can I get into freelance writing for the science field

How can I get into freelance writing for the science field?
Any particular level of college degree? (My highest level is an associates...so far). I've had lots of heavy writing classes, along with science & technology classes. But since I'm at the associates degree level, I'm wondering if maybe it's possible I could find some kind of junior level science writer type of job with a magazine, etc.

Well, you have a very low degree for this field choice. It is not impossible. Your best shot is to try to get into goverment work and work your way up from there. Try the NSF. Go to their website and apply online. http://www.nsf.gov/

The best routes to take are to research the process of starting a business as well as the industry you're interested in. Associations may be a good avenue to explore as well. These organizations will address many of the thoughts, questions and concerns you'll inevitably have as well as many you haven't anticipated yet. See the source box for some relevant links. Research, research, research รข€“ this cannot be stressed enough. Read as much as you can about the industry. Here are some book titles that are relevant: * Start and Run a Profitable Freelance Writing Business: Your Step- By-Step Business Plan (Self-Counsel Business Series) by Christine A. Adamec * How to Become a Fulltime Freelance Writer: A Practical Guide to Setting Up a Successful Writing Business at Home (Road Map to Your Writing Career) by Michael A. Banks * The Well-Fed Writer: Financial Self-Sufficiency As a Freelance Writer in Six Months or Less by Peter Bowerman * The Freelance Success Book: Insider Secrets for Selling Every Word You Write (Write It, Sell It) by David Taylor * Make a Real Living as a Freelance Writer: How to Win Top Writing Assignments by Jenna Glatzer I also posted links to some free articles in the source box. Hope that helps! I wish you much success & happiness in all your ventures

Can I still collect unemployment even if I accept a freelance position to help pay my bills

Can I still collect unemployment even if I accept a freelance position to help pay my bills?
I live in California and I just got laid off. As we all know, California is expensive. I am about to collect unemployment but someone is offering me a temporary job? Will I still be able to collect the unemployment?

Legally and morally I would say no. Unemployment means it is money to help fill the gap till you land a job. Temporary is still a job. If it is too expensive to live there consider moving
2 :
FYI: When you fill out the continued claim form it asks you "Did you work or earn any money whether you were paid or not", the claim form is a legal document. If it is found that you worked and earned money you will be subject to pay back the money you were over paid and will also be stuck with penalty weeks you have to serve before you will be able to get paid. If you work freelance, just make sure you report that you worked. You may have to go thru an interview and they will deduct a portion of what you earned from your weekly benefit amount. EXAMPLE: if your wba is 200 and you earn 100 working freelance they will deduct 75 from the wba leaving you with 125 paid on your wba. So for that week you would be making 225 from both your freelance work and u.i. benefits

Can a college kid freelance write with no fees

Can a college kid freelance write with no fees?
I'm a college kid with no job, and a quickly dwindling bank account (no job because I go to school 19 credit hours. I don't have time for a traditional job). Just about the only marketable skill I have, aside from my devilishly handsome good looks, is my writing. I'm just looking for something to do to get money for Christmas this year, hopefully a company or organization that doesn't require some huge start-up fee. Can somebody point me in the right direction?

You could try submitting copies of your work like a sample article to magazines and newspapers, being careful to use the style of writing and subjects that they favor. I know a teenager who once got paid for short stories! Best to mail a lot of different publications in one go, so that you increase your chances of getting a response or even just tips on how to improve your writing.
2 :
Try this site: http://easyurl.net/1c0 it can make you good money and it is easy to do. There are no fees and it pays out every Friday. It is one of the few work at home websites that has made me good money consistently. It makes me $1200-$1500 a month. Or try one of these other good work from home websites on this site: http://easyurl.net/c1f
3 :
no guarantees you would sell anything in time to get paid for this Xmas (or next even). If it was that easy, everyone would be a writer

What is an appropriate pay rate per hour if I am doing freelance research for a woman that is writing a book

What is an appropriate pay rate per hour if I am doing freelance research for a woman that is writing a book?
I met a woman through my current job(which has nothing to do with research) and we started talking about books. We have similar interests and I mentioned I love reading up on certain topics. She offered me a side job doing research for her and asked me to give her an hourly rate. (I currently manage a cosmetic counter, but I'm in school and this could build my resume)
