I was offered a job to edit or help write for a production company...I'm a freelance writer/editor with some college education...Should I charge per article, word, pg...and if so, how much.....

Price depends on what publication you're going to freelance for, on your portfolio, specialty and whether you're recognized in the feed or not. When I used to freelance publications would just give me subjects and I'd get paid by the article. I suggest you contact a publication company or newspaper to see how they handle freelance writers.
