how might one be able to get a job or internship working with major music video companies/directors

how might one be able to get a job or internship working with major music video companies/directors?
I'm a freelance fashion designer, practically unemployed, just moved to ny and I want to perhaps work as a stylist on video sets or as a production crew member. I feel like I've done a hell of alot of researching and asking questions to those I thought were the right individuals to ask and I'm receiving blank stares and responses. Any informations my fellow yahoo members can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Is it possible to apply for a credit card in japan if you don't have a job neither some credit(shakkin)

Is it possible to apply for a credit card in japan if you don't have a job neither some credit(shakkin)?
I just left my job out of political reason and now, I need a credit card to start a freelance job. I don't had experience owning one before and also I don't have some credits or anything I need to pay. i also have money at bank, like around 18,000 usd. do you think it is possible for me to own a credit card? I'm living in Tokyo and I'm not Japanese. Thanks in advance.

Usually, you can't have a credit card without a full-time job.

In my experience, if you are not Japanese, probably not. I remember the case of an Australian woman married to a Japanese man. She had Japanese citizenship, spoke fluent Japanese and worked for a Japanese company. However, Aeon Corporation denied her a credit card..."she was not Japanese enough" was their statement and the Japanese supreme court upheld their reasoning. Therefore, since you are not Japanese and have no job, I would say your chances are slim and none.

If you're not Japanese, you can't even work there " freelance ". You need a work visa for the job you had in the first place. I'd say you're not even in the country legally, so I guess the credit card isn't a good idea. And if you have $18,000, you don't need a credit card

Is $75/hour a reasonable rate for a freelance photographer to charge

Is $75/hour a reasonable rate for a freelance photographer to charge?
A friend of mine does photography as a side gig. He has about 8 years experience. I'm not sure what type of camera he uses but I've seen his work and he does a pretty decent job. He's charging me $75/hr for engagement photos. What do you think?

he's a friend for sure, $75 and hour is not reasonable it is a gift,...GAWD i wish i could find a photographer for seventy five an hour. but i don't need one i do my own shoots, and don't forsee getting married (my lovely and talented wife would have a fit, i think)
2 :
It depends upon the day rate he has agreed upon with the clients and what usage rights are included in his rate. I charge $350 per day (three to four hours of shooting and three or four hours of post-shoot work. Usage is based upon a standard fee schedule I have and append as the cost of doing business goes up.

Geez. I'm guessing you're from somewhere with a high cost of living. My brother in law is a photographer, one of the best in the district. He charges $40/hr + travel expenses + film
4 :
Why don't you ask to be charged for the whole day. I think it's way cheaper if its over 4 hours of shooting.
5 :
Your freind is giving you a great break.... Unless he's expecting to take dozens of hours... Most would charge hundreds per hour. Is he slamming you on prints??
6 :
hes half my rate a
7 :
You're getting a good deal. I would charge twice that and for the prints.
8 :
Like the others, he might be cutting you a deal since you are friends. I charge $300 for 3 hours of shooting for events and such
