Do you have to become licensed to become a professional makeup artist



Do you have to become licensed to become a professional makeup artist?
I just want to start a small Freelance part-time job..and i am just wondering if a License is needed for Ontario...Canada.. Please add websites that i could use as evidence

you must attend cosmetology school first then get a business license.

NO. You don't need a licensed to become a freelance makeup artist. But mind you, every state is different and has different laws and regulations when it comes to Cosmotology. Here in California, you don't need a license to freelance, but you do need a license if you plan on working in a salon.
