I want to start a blog site to post some of my thoughts and short fiction, outside of just facebook and myspace. I'm hoping to take on some freelance writing jobs, and start out by posting a blog, since many companies want a link to your blog to check out your writing style. Does anyone have any recommendations?

I was looking into blogger.com and so far it looks like a nice easy to use site.

agreed. http://Blogger.com But I see a lot of professional serious bloggers using http://wordpress.com Wordpress allows for more addons and themes, So personally I would recommend wordpress. However both are excellent solutions. Try them both, see what you like
