Craigslist... also hit up marketing and publishing company websites. My company hires LOTS of freelancers just based on craigslist ads.

Freelance switch has a good job board. http://jobs.freelanceswitch.com/ Craigslist is OK, but the people willing to hire are usually cheapskates.

You can try to bid on jobs in places like rentacoder.com, elance.com and guru.com. Frankly, I avoid all of em though. They are plagued with people who do not know the value of work. You will see jobs such as "FACE BOOK CLONE NEEDED BY FRIDAY", listed for 250 dollars...you couldn't get a qualified web developer to work for 250 dollars per HOUR let alone the entire job. The people who go there are a bit clueless...most have business plans that look like this: 1. Hire web designer 2. ... 3. Profit! Anyhow... All is not lost. There are some GREAT ways you can still make money using the web to find jobs. 99Designs.com is one of my favorites. It is competitive, but you can keep entering the same design until it sells. Basically, this kind of site let's you design however you want, then sell it to someone who likes the style...rather than listen to someone tell you what they want...when they actually have no clue and will change what they want 600 times before you get the first prototype done.
