What jobs are out there for a wildlife photographer, preferably freelance?
What specific magazines or books are likely to hire a freelance photographer for wildlife photos?

National Geographic comes to mind.

All of them but as freelance implies go out take the shots and then try to sell them. Good luck it is very, very difficult.

You have to be exceptional and have a lot of education/experience to work for National Geographic. I would contact parks and wildlife programs to see if they need updated photographs for advertisement or brochures
