Or just keep with the basics htlm/xhtml/css/php? I mean will learning Flash CS4 andFlex 3 give you more freelance jobs or can you just rest and be busy enough with htlm/xhtml/css/php/msql?

Many websites don't have flash implementations. You don't need to work with flash if you really don't want to, but it's a good idea to learn it. If you were to hire someone to build a website for you, would you hire the person with or without flash experience? A lot of people who hire others to build a website for them aren't really into technicalities, so although flash may be annoying and slow for most of their users, they won't think of that and they'll focus more on how good flash makes their website look. For me, I don't like most flash websites, but for someone who hires web designers, they'll probably be looking for flash made websites. It all depends really.
