I did a freelance job for a client....I wrote the content on one of his websites and he has paid me and been great to work with. He said today that if I were interested he would like to "Keep me on a retainer" to do some updates on his other sites...and so pay me monthly. What exactly is a retainer? If I seem ignorant...well I am...I write well but have had no formal training and so some terms are a mystery to me.
