Information on Freelance writing?
I am interested in doing freelance writing as kind of a side job. Has anyone ever done it? If so some information would be helpful. What is a good site, how is the salary, is it difficult to keep it up??? Sorry so many questions just curious. Thanks!

You're right on target as freelance writing is considered as one of the hottest trends in the freelancing world. All you have to do is sign up in many legit freelance sites on the web - which are mostly free. Do you have samples of work already? Try blogging or submitting to many free ezines on the web to showcase your work to prospective clients. Salary can range from US $5 to $40 an hour, depending on your skills, location, and how you sell your skills. Don't ever put your rates down and know what you're worth. It can be tough so I'd say build your portfolio as early as now. You can also try social media channels to spread the word about you. Good Luck!

Freelance Writing/Journalism Jobs

Freelance Writing/Journalism Jobs... ?
What are some freelance writing/journalism type jobs that would allow me to travel all over the country and stay each place for short to long periods of times, take photographs of the places I visit, blog or write about it, basically like travel writing? I want to see the entire world when I'm out of college, and want to have a career that involves journalism and traveling. I want to see the whole world! Suggestions?

photojournalist- go around the world and take pictures National Geographic photographer Journalism jobs don't pay that much though. But if it makes you happy, then go for it!

OK, everyone asks this question, and I really feel I have to say something. So many people think that journalism is an easy business that people can get into and just write about pieces and take pictures, but it's so much more than that. If you do not go to school for journalism, it's a hard business to get into because most editors and publishers won't believe you have the ability to do it. That's not saying you don't, but to prove that you do, you have to work, very, very, very hard. (Sorry for the repetition. We'll go for the Edgar Allen Poe effect.) Thus said, if freelance is something you really want to pursue, you have to work on it. You can see what the Travel Channel is doing as far as video bloggers, but having a career as a journalist doesn't mean you get to go to foreign places, take pictures and write. It means you have to be able to cover all sorts of journalism. I'm sorry if I seem harsh, but I think many people think of the journalism world as something easier than it is - which alters their view on the subject. It's a fast-paced, interesting field, but to be a part of it, while having your niche, you have to know every little part - not just travel.

Your chances of landing such a job are practically zero. Most media outlets aren't willing to pay someone to travel all the time. It's easier and cheaper to simply pay someone at the desired location, and have him or her work as a freelancer. Now -- once you are established, there's a chance you could do some freelance work. But you'd have to pay your own expenses on such trips, and hope to make enough to make it back. Everyone would like one of the jobs you just described, but they aren't really out there in any number

How can I find work doing acrobatic stunts

How can I find work doing acrobatic stunts?
I'm trying to find some work doing acrobatic stunts such as backflips and wallflips and what not, but it's not something you usually find in the classifieds. Everyone I ask gives me a very vague answers that get me no where. I don't want to do this as a full time job, just occasionally freelance. All help is much appreciated.

hell no. your friend was very lucky. most ppl who drop out of hs end up @ mcdonalds! stay in school!!!!!
2 :
Nope! Especially in today's job market! He probably knew someone who knew someone who got him the job. Most professional agencies are looking for people who are highly trained in their field.

Pretty easy to drop out of high school, but your friend got lucky. Really lucky. Without at least a high school education, 99% of the time you're screwed with a job. Seeing how it's hard enough to get a job now. Not to mention the regret many years later... Oh, and your parents would probably kill you. Just a guess
