which web sites are the best when it comes to online freelancing jobs

which web sites are the best when it comes to online freelancing jobs?
some sites make you pay a fee to join but then it is hard to get a job because of the numbers of persons bidding on the same project. That is not fair the bidding should have a limit number 5-10 bidders or so

Okay, how about a site that limits it to 10 bidders, but you're not one of them? Why should someone else's site give YOU an edge? Start your on site if you want exclusivity. (The problem isn't the number of bidders, it's usually the number of people willing to work for $1/hour which, in some countries, is a very good income

Freelance work experience

Freelance work experience?
How do you list freelance work on a job application? I work part-time as a freelance photog and was looking to supplement my income with another (non photography related) part-time job. How do I list "employer" if I'm not technically an "employee"? Would it still be kosher to list the publication for which I shoot assignments as an employer?

Graphic designer or software designer A graphic designer basically creates ads, makes websites, and draw/illustrate things
2 :
As a freelancer, you can look for contract work, or create your own products and sell, in your areas of expertise and interest. Examples of latter include software; information products like e-books; photographs; art work; graphics, both raster and vector; and others. Best of luck

What are the price ranges for Freelance Editing/Writing

What are the price ranges for Freelance Editing/Writing?
I was offered a job to edit or help write for a production company...I'm a freelance writer/editor with some college education...Should I charge per article, word, pg...and if so, how much.....

Price depends on what publication you're going to freelance for, on your portfolio, specialty and whether you're recognized in the feed or not. When I used to freelance publications would just give me subjects and I'd get paid by the article. I suggest you contact a publication company or newspaper to see how they handle freelance writers. Good luck.

Online Freelance Writing Jobs

Online Freelance Writing Jobs?
I am looking into making some extra income and was wondering about the field of freelance writing. I came across a site called realwritingjobs.com and others like it, and have read many (often contradicting!) reviews but since I have absolutely no experience when it comes to this issue, I can't tell which is legitimate and which is not. Please note that I am living in the middle east. Any thoughts/ideas/suggestions?

This is the only site I've come across that is legit - ttps://contributor.yahoo.com/join.html?refer=900858 (if you click on this link, I will be able to see when you publish something and take a look). You get upfront payments for some articles (2 -15 bucks usually) and you also get paid for page views. I love it.

Real Writing Jobs, from what I have seen, is a scam. What you want is Demand Studios (a quick google search will get you the website). I'm working there right now, and I get about $30 to $60 an hour, depending on how fast I type. You write 400 word articles, each one gets you $15. There are other titles, ones for $5 and others for $25, but the most common is $15. Most of these are How-Tos that appear on eHow. There is no charge for joining up, you just have to submit a resume, so having previous writing experience is a must. I wrote a bunch of articles for Associated Content before, so that is how I got in. If you don't have experience yet, I suggest spending about a year writing for other websites, and then going to Demand Studios. Other websites that pay are Associated Content (about $3 to $15 upfront with residual), HubPages (residual), Squidoo (residual) and Bukisa. Good luck with your freelance venture. I'm making full-time income with Demand Studios now (over $50,000/year) and this has helped me get a lot of experience.

Filling out W-4: Do I have more than one job

Filling out W-4: Do I have more than one job?
I do contract / freelance work from NC making approx 24k per year. When I file taxes on this work I do so with a 1099 misc. I'm filling out a W-4 for an out of state job in Florida (which will last 5 months). The W-4 is asking if I have more than one job... does the freelance work constitute as a job or not since it is not salary?

Yes, it's taxable income so counts as a job.
2 :
Of course it counts as a job. By the way, onthe $24,000 contract job, have you held out $6000-$8000 plus for the taxes and sent them in for estimated tax payments already?
3 :
sure, it might be freelance but eventually it will be added to your regular income and cost taxes, plus you are paying your own SE tax on it

Where's the Best Place for a guy with an Associates Degree to find a Job in Detroit

Where's the Best Place for a guy with an Associates Degree to find a Job in Detroit?
Yeah, I know this place is the leading place for unemployment. But I have to be here now to take care of my mom because she got sick. I was working freelance film crew. I'm still doing that, but I need something part-time. Any suggestions??

That kind of depends on what your degree is in. If you have a worthless AA like Art or Music, then you have the same options as someone with NO college degree. If you have a real degree like in Businessss, then you will have MANY more options.
2 :
Since Detroit has such high unemployment, if you want a job part-time I would look into doing things for elderly people. Either do the grass-cutting, snow shoveling bit or sign up with an agency to be a home care worker. There's usually a need for people to work with the elderly either doing personal care like helping them with daily tasks or even just to work as a companion to visit with them, take them to the doctor, take them to the store, etc

Well judging from your english it won't be something you will be doing any time soon :) But it is someone who translates for someone, or a group of people. They do it on their own without having a boss or a company that they work for. One of the best jobs is to translate for families when they go on vacation to say from USA to Japan. Japanese people will pay ALOT of money for a good translator
