Can I do two careers at once? e.g Freelance Journalist/Doctor or something else?
Yeah, because I'm only 12 and have decided to be a Freelance writer, but can I do another job too, because Freelance doesn't give you a steady pay.

good that u are thinking of your career at such a young age. Freelance writer/college professor teacher makes since because both jobs involve alot of reading and writing. You could tell you students what you write about and write about what u teach your students. Just a suggestion..but u have alot of time to decide..good luck!

You can do anything you want. Being a doctor and a freelance writter would be good because you could write in your spare time.... you never know how much pay you will recieve, it could pay good, especially since you are setting your heart to it now

Freelance Graphic Designers ~ How much should I charge?
So I've just landed my 1st really quite decently sized job and I don't know how much to charge. Part of me wants to charge less because I'm grateful for the experience and the work for my portfolio, but the other part of me wants decent pay too, of course. I work full-time as a graphic designer and make shit money. I know some g.d.s charge anywhere between 50 - 100 per hour but I'm sort of just starting out. Any suggestions? Many thanks! I might add that they want a post card, a type of flyer and a mini package to hand out for their new catering department of this restaurant. the package would be for potential clients. the post card would be emailed. the flyer would just be 1 to have at the front entrance of their restaurant. and they need some photography done.....

since you just starting out you should charge flat fee.

If you know your competition is charging $50 to $100 an hour, and you're just starting out....why not charge $50 and as you gain more customers, a year from now, go up in price to $55. You can also make some extra money perhaps by charging 50 cents a mile in traveling, parking charges, photo proofs ($2.50 a pic), expenses for "office supplies" and such, since they can add up too. Don't charge by the 1/4 hour, but by the 1/2 hour (you're not a lawyer...so I've learned from my business). If you have Quick Books, it's a great program for a small business so you can make professional looking invoices along with keeping track of who has paid you and who hasn't. Good luck there! job in fashion without a fashion degree?
am thinking about transitioning my career into the fashion industry. Trouble is, I am 30 years old, and have little experience in the field. I've worked in retail and as a freelance journalist, and I have a BA with a minor in art, and an MS in marketing. I'd like to work for a company like People's Revolution doing PR, but I can't really afford a third degree. What's the best way to approach a career shift like this one?

Well, at least you don't have the debt load of wasting four years in "Fashion School". Fashion is an unstable industry with mostly dead-end, low-pay, high pressure jobs. You really ought to consider more honorable alternatives such as Taco Bell.

You should contact traveling agencies in different countries that arrange travels to Egypt. The can then refer their clients to you. You can also contact different hotels in Egypt and leave your card and information at their receptions disk, they get questions about local guides every single day. Good luck

You will want to let them know all the art experience you have had. Awards you may have won. Schools you have attended: degrees or certifications you may hold. Your specialties; if you are better at one sort of art; like cartoons, etc. What goals you wish to accomplish through employment. You availability. Be sure to give them your "full style": phone, fax and contact email, also your current address. Ask for an appointment to meet the employer face to face and take samples of your work. You have to encourage them to want to hire you. Your letter should be clear, concise, correct grammar and spelling.
